Edward "Ed" Hataway, 61, who lives in an apartment above D.C. Sales in Olney, Illinois, was serving as bartender for a reunion at the Olney Knights of Columbus on Sunday evening, September 16, 2012. He was seen leaving the event at approximately 6:00 p.m.
Ed's landlord spoke with him shortly after 8 p.m. that evening regarding a mowing job he was set to perform the next morning, and they arranged a meeting. This was the last time Ed was heard from. He missed the meeting, which was out of character for him.
His landlord began leaving messages the next day (Monday), then began looking for him. Ed’s truck was parked outside, his slipper shoes in the parking lot, his apartment unlocked and his cell phone inside.
His brother, John Hataway, said it is not like Ed to leave without informing anyone that he was going to do so.
Family and friends are very worried and ask the public to please help by looking for him or coming forward if they have any information to help locate him.
